Advancing Agrivoltaics in the EU: Join the REGACE Online Event
The EU-funded REGACE Project is pleased to invite you to a dynamic online event exploring the role of Agrivoltaics in the European Union, a timely discussion for anyone working at the intersection of agriculture, energy, and climate policy.
Join us for a one-hour webinar, entitled ‘From Agri-PV Greenhouses to Fork: Exploring Solar Innovation and Legal Pathways in Sustainable Farming’.
At the event, our partners will explore the digital, social, environmental, and legal dimensions of agrivoltaics. We’ll discuss how smart greenhouses, solar technologies, digital twins, and farmer perspectives can shape the dual future of agriculture and clean energy.
REGACE consortium’s experts will dive into:
- Legal challenges and pathways shaping the future of agrivoltaics, including data governance (Ezgi Ercan, Timelex)
- The role of digital twins and models in optimising agrivoltaics systems and improving climate resilience (Cristina Cornaro, University of Rome Tor Vergata)
- Participatory processes involving farmers in photovoltaic innovation in greenhouses (Andrea Volterrani, University of Rome Tor Vergata)
- The environmental and economic potential of CO₂ enrichment and dual land use for sustainable agriculture and renewable energy (Liron Amdur, Tel Aviv University)
This interdisciplinary session is especially relevant for researchers, regulators, lawyers, and policymakers working at the intersection of agriculture and energy, climate resilience, data, and sustainable innovation.
